frequently-asked questions answers
Why is this free? What's the catch? Why is this free? What's the catch?

What is the management theory behind the questionnaire and reports? What is the management theory behing the Managing People Better questionnaire and reports?

What if I don't agree with the report you send me? What if I don't agree with the Managing People Better report you send me?

Can the Managing People Better questionnaire tell me which non-managers might make good people managers in the future? Can the Managing People Better questionnaire tell me which non-managers might make good people managers in the future?

There is no catch—the report is truly free. We decided to make it free for three reasons:

1.  Managing People Better is primarily a research company. We currently are conducting a study of gender differences in management styles and also plan to look at style differences by generation (comparing baby boomer and millennial managers, etc.). Each person who completes the questionnaire helps us with this research.

2.  Literally dozens of profiling tools are available in the market place. Why pay for a new, “unknown” one? Managing People Better is different, but the way to see the difference is to try it.

3.  We have a heart for smaller companies, not just the big ones. We want this tool to be accessible to organizations of all sizes, even those without a training budget.

In your free personal report, you will find a description of the theory behind Managing People Better. We give it to you after you complete the questionnaire to avoid influencing how you view (and therefore might answer) the questions.

In your report, you'll find a feedback link where you can tell us the spots that don't seem right to you—and we can dialogue.

No. The questionnaire is designed solely for current managers who already have one or more direct reports.
